Can’t Afford A Masterpiece? Make Your Own

Art is often seen as something done by other people, something that only people who have been labelled talented or can do. This is most definitely not the case. Art is about process; all artists have to star somewhere and the idea that they produce fantastic works from the moment they start out is plainly ridiculous. There is no pressure to produce a masterpiece a worthwhile piece that can give you and others pleasure is possible.

A lot of perceived value is in the presentation. A gallery wrapped canvas support for painting can be purchased very cheaply. Just paint, sign of course, screw a couple of hooks in the back and attach a wire and the painting is ready for hanging. Use fast drying acrylics and if you are worried about everything turning into brown sludge use the print process colors of magenta, cyan and process yellow and paint in layers. The colors are transparent so a stained glass type of effect is achieved. Any combination of these particular three colors is pleasing to the eye. Some black outlines can be added to make things really pop. This approach can be used for abstract or representational and will look contemporary.
